this weeks parashat too me was about not using Jesus to make statements that are opposed to God's heart. We as humans like to use biblical justification to spout out our own opinions that are not an appropriate display of God's heart. I love the Jeremiah portion because God touches his mouth and put his words in Jeremiah...and his words alone are accompanied by mighty ACTION..a DISPLAY of God's own heart.
and taking oaths is scary when you actually fear God. It's about understanding and loving God's heart so much that you watch what you say to others
